Photo booths are fun. I'm not here to fight the photo booth. People love them, and for plenty of parties a booth is exactly the right call.
But they're different tools. Here's how I'd decide between the two.
How a photo booth works
A booth sits in one spot. Guests walk over, grab a prop, press a button and take their own photos. It's self-serve and it stays put.
How a paparazzi team works
With the Paparazzii Experience, four photographers in suits and ties work the arrival. They photograph each guest, hype them up and guide the poses. Then they cover the room too: executives, sponsors, details and candid moments. Guests scan a QR code and get their photos on their phone within seconds.
The real differences
• Who's taking the photo. Booth: the guest. Paparazzi: a professional who knows your good side
• Where photos happen. Booth: one spot. Paparazzi: arrival plus the whole room
• Energy. A booth waits for guests to come to it. A paparazzi team brings the moment to them
• Coverage. A booth won't photograph your keynote speaker or your sponsor's table. My team does
• Delivery. Both can deliver fast. We send photos to guests' phones by QR code within seconds
When a booth makes sense
Casual parties where guests want to goof around with props on their own schedule. That's the booth's home turf.
When a paparazzi team makes sense
Galas, fundraisers, corporate events, brand activations and big milestone parties. Basically, when you want guests to feel like the guest of honor the second they walk in, and you also need real event coverage.
Can you do both?
Sure. Plenty of events have a booth in the corner and photographers working the room. Just know that the booth doesn't replace event coverage.
Quick answers
How long does the Paparazzii Experience run?
It's a 2-hour activation. Put it at guest arrival so every guest gets the moment.
Do you bring props?
We bring the paparazzi team, the cameras and the lighting. You, your client or the venue provide the backdrop or step-and-repeat.
How do guests get their photos?
They scan a QR code, and the photos land on their phone within seconds.
